My Little Epiphanies is a book written by Aisha Chaudhary. Aisha was born with Severe combined immunodeficiency [SCID]. When she was six months old, she had to undergo a bone marrow transplant. As a side effect of the medical therapy following chemotherapy she developed a serious illness called Pulmonary Fibrosis – a type of condition that causes irreversible scarring of the lungs. She died at an early age of 18 years. She gave inspirational talks from age 15 to the time of her death and was also a TEDx Pune Speaker in 2013.

A film called The Sky is Pink is based on her life was released in 2019 starring Priyanka Chopra.

The book is said to be published one day before her death. Epiphanies means a moment of sudden and great Revelation or Realisation. The book is a compilation of all the epiphanies that Aisha had experienced in her short life. The book has text written in the form of few sentences depicting her life epiphanies. The book lacks any detailed text or long paragraphs except the prologue, epilogue and the introduction.
The one liners are her experiences that depicts her realisations, human behaviour, life in general and her experience as she moves to her journey of limited life. The Book may make you sad especially if you have watched the movie The Sky is Pink or know about Aisha’s Journey of short life. It often portrays the struggle to live and acceptance of death.
The One liners are mere thought, experiences and her realisations among which most are kind truths of life that one can see only when death is near. The Book has few images which represents the actual drawings made by Aisha with her epiphanies written in sketches and mandala type of patterned drawings which are interspersed throughout the book.

The book is a short read and if you know her background it will surely touch you deep at a human emotional level.
Some of the one liners are too amazing as listed below from this book:
- Don’t worry about what happened today, death is on its way – I promise you.
- If you feel like things aren’t moving, there is a cure for that, and that is time.
- If you can’t change your life, there’s always someone else’s.
- All our thoughts are recreated in the universe, written down in God’s Plan for our future.
- Even when we are in a group setting and not saying something, something is always being sad.
- Just because I was strong in one moment of weakness, doesn’t mean that I am strong enough to be in each moment.
- Knowing all the facts, doesn’t make anything easier.
- I should be grateful that the shit isn’t shittier than what it’s about to be
- May be Life is a bad dream that we only wake up from when we die
Overall a great read and a very light read to finish quickly but can add emotional weightage if you connect with the epiphanies and Aisha’s Life Experiences. Such realisations by a young girl at such an early age is sure to touch you deep down.
